Steve Jobs Handed in His Resignation as Apple Boss

Steve JobsAt the middle of last night, connecting 24 and 25th August 2011 nights, Apple boss Steve Jobs handed in resignation due to his health problems saying that he cannot meet his duties in the company any longer.

That does not mean that he has left the company for ever, instead, he will seem to be holding the title of chairmanship and keep his innovative advices going for his own company. However, he handed down his main role in the company to his deputy, Tim Cook.

In the very emotional and soulful letter to which he sent to the board of company, Steve Job states his condition in an open and clear way: "I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's chief executive officer, I would be the first to let you know, unfortunately, that day has come." It can be inferred from the very decisive words which he verbalized in his resignation letter that there is no way to come back for him.

This sensational resignation caused an effect of shock among almost all of the technology gurus because nobody was expecting Mr. Jobs to resign in such an unexpected way, using his all-the-time-discussed health problems. It is not of course our job to judge him when/how to resign or not, but that was really something that has never been foreseen. Up until now, each rumor related to Steve Job’s health has been turned down, yet, it can be seen very clearly from his short and clear statement that he could not keep his job going anymore.

Taking a general outside look of Mr. Jobs, anyone with good eyesight can realize he is very thin and unwell in health conditions. But that situation never prevented him from representing his company in the public and attending some of the momentous meetings and dinners. He says on this subject in his letter: "I believe Apple's brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role. I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you."

It was around 1 April 1976 when 21-year-old Jobs and his fellows Steve Wozniak and Ron Wayne created a company called Apple Computer in California. The very first devices that they have designed helped people enjoy their lives in a very easier way and they created the first best useful technological devices.

Also, as the new owner of the chairmanship of Apple Company, Mr. Cook stated: "Steve has made countless contributions to Apple's success, and he has attracted and inspired Apple's immensely creative employees and world-class executive team. In his new role as chairman of the board, Steve will continue to serve Apple with his unique insights, creativity and inspiration."
