Backup Your Facebook Data Easily

Backup Facebook DataSince the first times of your registration to Facebook, you have shared many different things ranging from funny cat videos to LOL comments or so.

But can you guess you can now download all of these in a zip file? Yes, you did not hear wrong, you can backup your Facebook data by means of a new system.

Have you ever wondered where all of these Facebook stuff is kept? We think, no. But it is better if you do so. Maybe you suppose it is being kept in a huge server farm located in the middle of an island, on which there are many computers and technological devices. In order to get your past data on Facebook, it is necessary that you have not been hacked, deleted, or disabled on Facebook at any time in the history. That means some of your past information has been deleted or got disappeared due to some problems that you have experienced with Facebook.

However much data you have backed up some time in the past, it may still cause you some problems as you cannot back up all of these information including comments, photos –you are tagged in or your uploading- likes, and pages. Why you want to back up you Facebook data is up to you at all. Some may want to do so just because they need while other back up due to some concerns related to law, work, and others. It is also possible that you can recover the old comments that may have affected your real life but deleted later. They can just delete on live Facebook, but not from your backed-up-data.

These following items are amongst the ones that can be backed up from Facebook data. You can back them up easily and use for future reference any time you need:

Profile information, Friend list, Messages and chat conversations, Wall posts, Notes, Events, Photos and videos, Comments

Here are the steps you need to follow while backing up your Facebook data. It is very easy to follow and does not require too much technological experience as it goes:

1- Login to your registered Facebook account.

2- Click the "Account" icon which can be seen on the right-top of your profile page.

3. Click on "Account Settings" on the sliding side.

4. From the "Account Settings" tab, search for "Download Your Information".

5. Start your process of downloading just after 4th step.

Before you start the process, you will see a page saying “Download Your Information - Get a copy of what you've shared on Facebook.” Later you need to click on “Start My Archive” and then you will get a warning stating that “It may take a little while for us to gather all of your photos, wall posts, messages, and other information. We will then ask you to verify your identity in order to help protect the security of your account.” On this pop-up page, you are required to confirm your process clicking on “Start My Archive” again. Depending on the work load, Facebook says “You will receive an email when your archive is ready for download.”

As stated below, it may take up to many hours if you have been on Facebook for such a long time as 3-4 years or so. However, if you have been on it for a short time like 1 year or so, it may take some shorter time less than 1 hour around. And keep that in mind you have the necessary empty disc space on your hard drive so as not to have any problem while downloading and backing up your data.

During this process, you are required to answer some of the security questions that Facebook asks you to prove that you are really “you”. Their goal in doing so is to prevent misuse of Facebook data of yours by the hackers or bad-intended people. So, do not grouse about the security questions and picture confirmations as they are for the benefit of your security.

We, in advance, wish you good luck during the process of downloading the Facebook data that you have always searched for. It is normal that you download your Facebook data once a week or a month if you actually do not want to get into hot waters when you are accused of something you have not done really. Taking these precautions into account is of high importance and priority if you are someone with special concerns in your life.
