After such a long waiting time, fans of Piper Perabo are now looking forward to seeing her in action again on the stage. This craving will come to end in the days ahead.
The widely-known television channel USA Network’s most-loved CIA thriller, namely Covert Affairs, is on the verge of starting to record its second season some time next week. As most of you know, Piper Perabo is holding the name of Annie Walker in the series and it seems that she will be taking the responsibility of carrying us back to the world of espionage.
Covert Affairs managed to have an attention-grabbing and significant success during its first season and drew huge attention from the fans thanks to its worldwide-known stars, such as Piper Perabo. Furthermore, Piper Perabo, starring in Covert Affairs, was able to earn a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Annie Walker. Walker and her close friends are returning back to the stage today, on June 7.
As can be seen during the first season, Perabo’s character in this series was a rookies CIA agent with the abilities of speaking a variety of languages and coping with some powerful men one-on-one. This ability is always catching the attention of the watchers and making them focused on the series for a long time.
Also, this power of fight is not coming naturally at all. As can be read from a Fox blog Perabo stating that she is not only training herself as a fighter during the recordings on a daily basis but also giving much importance to act in accordance with the director’s wishes. Before the first season started, she was especially chosen for this series just because of her talents in fighting and her tendency to keep up with the series’ further episodes. On this subject: “I’m a women, and I only weigh so much, and I do not have some superstitious abilities” she says.
The first episodes of Covert Affairs started with the scenes showing Walker with her boyfriend-Ben Mercer- on a beach. Walker’s boyfriend later turned out to be a CIA operative at the mean time, which surprised most of the watchers. What’s more, Walker, who was yet training to join the agency, was promoted to take place at the field operative just at the first episodes of the series. This is also the second surprising situation that made Covert Affairs more attractive in the course of events.
Coming through the last episodes of Covert Affairs, viewers saw Walker going off on missions in far off lands. This was mainly because of the character’s wish to keep going a relatively calmer life back home. Walker sometimes became angry and nervous trying to maintain her cover identity as a Smithsonian antiquities buyer. In doing this, she sometimes had some sorts of difficulties, which she did not overcome easily.
In the final episode of the first season, we were witnessing Walker returning from a mission with Mercer in Sri Lanka. For a change, she is getting a move on this season with a different character: “A new handler for a professional tennis player from Estonia.”
USA’s most-followed White Collar also comes to appearance with a huge expectancy from the fans all around the world. Both shows are on the screen tonight (June 7). White Collar is airing at 9 p.m and Covert Affairs follows it immediately after 10 p.m.
