To mark Mother’s Day 2011 firstly I would like to send best wishes to all mothers and some fun wishes to mothers on this Mother’s day. Every mother would ideally like to have a few wishes full filled on Mother’s day.
Well I assume, I can’t speak for every mother but I don’t think I am alone in this. Purely guessing but you can associate any of these wishes. But this is what I want this year for Mother’s Day.
As a mother these are just some of my wishes coupled with those of others, I think I would be right in getting your support of these wishes if they were partly or completely full filled, we can but just dream to get the whole list complete in its entirety, obviously not every wish can come true, but let’s be thankful for the love and support of the ones that have taken the time and trouble to show us that they care ,not all mothers will be as lucky as some....you reap what you sow.
11 Mother’s Day Wishes:
1)Uninterrupted reading of your favorite book or magazine a luxury that is so great to have ,to be afforded this without having to come away from a exciting page is such a great feeling ....can this possibly happen ....mums wish
2)Chocolate heaven ...oh to eat what I love in the pleasure of a fact that it won’t have a impact on my weight or cholesterol would be wow, but it’s the one day of the year when I can afford this holiest of eating treats ...to eat to my heart’s content without felling sick or worrying about the consequences.
3) To be waited on hand and foot would be great normally in ones dream when you have just won the lottery and become super rich and now you don’t have to do everything as the maid or nanny will help out just because I can afford to, but the in the real world one day of compliance from my off spring would be music to my ears.
4) To bathe in tranquility with candles and light music of my choice without having to worry about having to clamber out at the wrong time, the main door knocks and something needs your attention and then the kids especially little ones, can you leave to them to their own devices just yet or will you be asked jump out of the shower or bath whilst you are still soaking wet or lathered up ...oh to have a peaceful bath or shower time.
5)Tidying up after the little ones have completed their playing games ....it would be so simple for them to just say ...hey its mother days let’s try our best and tidy up for today only if we are up to it say the children ,of course age plays a great factor in this one 7 or 8 years upwards might comply but any less and the you’d be saying chance would be fine thing....let’s start them young so one mothers days this wish can come true ....no harm in starting young to be tidying up after themselves.
6) A genies wish for those into the laundering chore, oh how I wish that for one day I don’t have to wash, iron and fold away .......but its school day tomorrow and the likely hood is that your present laundry skills are still required, unless you did find that genie in the bottle and wished for a laundry fairy to do that loathsome task.
7)Treat myself to a special day of wearing what I want and style my hair and put on my favorite clothes and even put on my makeup ,even if I am not going anywhere special for a meal, this treat is rare till the children become self sufficient ,but let’s be practical.
8)To spend a night with my partner would be a godsend ,some adult conversation not worrying about or thinking about the children as long as they are in safe hands would be great ,to eat and drink things that we adults might really like without having to deal with issues of having children .
An evening or night away out of the home with my partner who hopefully makes the effort as well and not forgotten to think of everything so we could have some quality time together even if it’s all for just a few hours.
9) Not to have go out to work on this one day would be great but to make ends meets there may be no compromise, wow wonder what it would be like to stay at home all the time and look after the children....not everyone is cut out for motherhood so gainful employment might be their saving grace to enable them to cope better....no mother is perfect.
10) Educated mum ... wonder if a college education would have made a difference to motherhood ...the reality is yes it would, though not necessarily financially even though that this the main aim for most, but the benefits of helping out with homework just that little bit more and guiding your children with a educated outlook on life not skewed by a just knowing the basics, your children will take it onboard and maybe you’ll not see this come to fruition till they are much older.
11) Patience is a virtue as the saying goes, try juggling that with the rigors of daily life, deadlines and your children will no doubt feel the result of your thresholds when it comes to getting what they want children are children, but in time they will come see not everything came happen so quickly and so learn the virtues of patience, if we practice what we preach we could be a little less stressed and overworked.
Hope your mother’s day wishes come true even if they aren’t on this wish list ,make the most of what you have life is short ,happiness is one thing and utopia is another, be thankful for what we have been given A specially nominated day for all us mothers ...its Mother's day.
