Halloween allows most people to use their imagination based on the traditions associated with Halloween and mixed with Horror movies stereo types when considering about things to do or to wear.
When thinking about Halloween Costume Ideas For Groups ,very elaborate designs that needs to be copied across to a group of people doesn’t work well unless you are lucky enough to find a costume shop that is big enough to cope with a demand of having maybe 5 or 6 Dracula’s or Frankenstein’s.
The best way forward is to keep it simple ,this way you won’t be worried about spending lots of money and fretting over where to source a particular item , and the closer to the main event it is the less likely it is that you will get a wide choice to choose from.
Starting with characters that are normally associated with the Halloween doesn’t mean it can’t use ideas from the horror movies.
Dracula ,Frankenstein, mummy , zombie ,witch, Freddy Krueger ,skeleton, the grim reaper, old scary women or man ,a hooded monk, disfigured persons always add intrigue but in modern society in some parts such make up could offend or upset someone so target your audience cautiously.
Along with the characters mentioned above props always play their part and have an impact from your persona, props to consider are hats, in the main witches hats, a black cape, if you can’t get one you could always use a bed sheet dyed in black, cob webs ,to make these just take a small wad of cotton thread and attach it to your garment., spectacles preferably ones that make your face look odd ,so nothing fancy like some designer makes, fake cat, axe, a scythe, hammer (but be warned these last three props …. might be deemed a dangerous item to carry, unless it’s made of plastic)Make up using mascara, eye liners and lipstick and fake blood to put on your arms or face. Although pumpkins and the jacko lantern are synonymous with Halloween it’s a bit difficult to incorporate these into your outfit.
Crepe bandages are prefect and possibly one of the easiest of items to use, as are band aid plasters.
Cling film strapped loosely around bodies can work as well but be warned that you shouldn’t use them for prolonged amounts of times due to the fact that it may stop your skin from breathing.
In trying to achieve a certain type of look you could aim for a scary look, Funny look, saucy and intrigue.
You don’t have to spend huge amounts of money to obtain the desired effect, but some clever use of household items and some old clothes and a good dose of Halloween imagination can allow you to conjure up some good costumes.
Locations to consider when trying to work out how effective your costumes are could be in a castle, a house preferably haunted, a traditional old church, parks, night clubs, recreational parks, or even schools.
Depending on your age some costume ideas coupled with the props and location have to be used with some common sense for fear of upsetting people who may be of the nervous type
For Adults themed parties, stag functions, hen parties or fancy dress are all ideal for groups to use as a grouped event.
