This year, 2010 Canada Day will be celebrated on Thursday, July 1st, which means amazing fireworks, parades, concerts, carnivals, festivals, barbecues, get-togethers and the biggest national party of the year.
Each year, Parliament Hill, Major's Hill Park, Jacques-Cartier Park, and other locations in Canada have been visited by hundreds of thousands of people. 2010 marks Canada's 143rd birthday.
In many towns and cities people organize a lot of events. Actually, most of these events are held by municipal governments. Canada Day is celebrated with carnivals and festivals in a patriotic mood. You can see people on the streets who painted their faces red and white, which are Canada's national colors. The celebrations in Ottawa, which is Canada’s capital city, are particularly exuberant.
This year Parliament Hill, Major's Hill Park, Jacques-Cartier Park, Confederation Park, Ottawa-Gatineau and Sparks Street will host many activities. Here is the list of Canada Day activities including activities at Parliament Hill and Major's Hill Park.
