The annual Museum Mile Festival will take place on 8th, June in New York City. The event will stretch along 5th Avanue in NY, between 82nd and 105th, which is roughly a mile. The streets will be closed to cars, so whole mile will become a walking festival.
1978 was the fist time, when the first Museum Mile Festival held. The 32nd Annual Museum Festival will start on June 8,2010 at 6 p.m. and finish at 9 p.m. with the same aim of letting people experience the museums in a entertaining atmosphere. The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Design Museum are some the museums that everyone can wander. However, the museums are not the only attraction though. The Museum Mile Festival will play host to street performers, bands, musicians and activities for kids.
